Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has offered jobs to Zepora and Jedidah – two daughters of the slain former state chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Philips Shekwo.
The governor announced this during the first memorial lecture organised in his honour in Lafia, the state capital as a fulfilment of the pledge he made to the family when he first visited.

Daily Trust reports that Shekwo was murdered on the night of November 21, 2020, after gunmen invaded his private residence and kidnapped him.
The governor, however, vowed to ensure that the three suspects arrested over the killing and their informant would be duly prosecuted and that he would be willing to sign their death warrants if the courts found them guilty.
He said his administration would continue to take proactive measures in order to ensure the security of lives and property across the state.
In a goodwill message, the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe, described the late Shekwo as a very humble person, God-fearing and easy-going.
In a vote of thanks, Philips Samuel Shekwo, who spoke on behalf of the family, thanked both the state government and the APC, for being supportive of the late Shekwo family.
