3000 vulnerable people empowered in Nasarawa

Three thousand vulnerable people have been empowered in Nasarawa State.

The beneficiaries include people from Akwanga, Wamba and Nasarawa Eggon in Nasarawa North Senatorial District.

At the disbursement of the items, the senator representing the Zone, Godiya Akwashiki, said the gesture was in furtherance of his constituency programmes aimed at enhancing the living standard of the people.

According to him, “I mapped out a series of projects targeted at offering short and long time succour to the people considering the prevailing economic hardships.

Akwashiki presented 771 welding machines, 885 sewing and grinding machines, 176 motorcycles as well as N10, 000 each to over 2000 persons. Some of the beneficiaries, Mallam Ibrahim Ado and Mrs Patricia Shammah, expressed happiness for the kind gesture.
