NANS storms N/Assembly, calls for end to ASUU strike

The National Association of Nigerian Students yesterday called for an end to the protracted strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The students made the call when they laid siege outside the National Assembly.

Also, another group of protesters, the National Youth Council also marched to the National Assembly, asking the Federal Government to waive the tuition fees of University students to cushion the impact of Covid-19 on their parents.

The NYC, led by its president, Sukubo Sereigbe Sukubo, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to rejig the security architecture and replace the Service Chiefs.

Addressing the protesters, Deputy Senate Whip Senator Abdullahi Sabi promised to deliver their demands to President Muhammadu Buhari.
