NAFDAC cracks down on drug hawkers in Yobe

The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has intensified its crackdown on drug hawkers operating in weekly markets in Yobe State.

Yobe State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Mr Lawan Musa Dadingelma, who disclosed this in an interview with our reporter, said the operation was part of the agency’s ongoing campaign to curb the illicit distribution and sales of unauthorised pharmaceuticals across the 17 LGAs of the state.

Dadingelma said that during a recent raid, numerous drugs were seized in line with NAFDAC’s commitment to upholding regulatory standards and safeguarding public health.
