The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has commissioned 28 flats at the Nigerian Air Force Base Bauchi to reduce the challenge of accommodation.
Represented by Air Officer Commanding AOC Special Operations Bauch, Air Vice Marshal James Gwani, the Chief of Air Staff said the houses were meant to ensure personnel lived in a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere to boost their morale.
The CAS assured officers and men of the command that their welfare would not be compromised, saying, “Some months ago, I commissioned the commando village and some blocks of officers and airmen/airwomen residential accommodations. Today we are going to commission 2 blocks of furnished 10 x 1 bedroom, 3 units of 2 x 3 bedroom semi- detached bungalows, a block of 6 x 2 bedroom flats for our senior non- commissioned officers and 4 blocks of 10 x 1 regiment transit quarters.”
Also speaking at event, the Commander 251 Base Services Group, Bauchi, Air Commander Nazeef Aliyu, said the achievements recorded was in line with the CAS vision to reposition the NAF into a highly professional and disciplined force.
He noted that the buildings commissioned will reduce the challenges of accommodation and enhance personnel professionalism.
