NACC appoints Akomolafe as president

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) has announced Otunba Oluwatoyin Akomolafe as the new President to pilot the affairs of the Chamber for another three years.

The President, in his inaugural address at the chamber’s yearly general meeting  in Lagos said that he would focus on re-branding and revitalizing the image of the Chamber, balance the American and Nigerian aspects of the organization as well as modernize its communication strategy.

Akomolafe obtained a degree in the Department of Agriculture, University of Ibadan and on completion of his course he went straight into the business of import and export.

He was later head hunted by the West Africa Portland Cement Company (WAPCO) in 1979 where he rose to the position of Western Regional Area Manager when he left in 1988. 

 “I want to fully participate in all economic fora and partner with leaders and leading organizations that could propel us toward a successful future. I also want this organization to commit to serving its members, providing more networking and business opportunities”, he said.
