N2m ransom placed on abducted FCT chief’s wife

The abductors of one of the wives of the Village Head of Gwombe in Gwargwada Chiefdom in Kuje Area Council of the FCT, alongside seven others, have asked the families of the victims to bring N2m each.

City & Crime had reported that gunmen last Monday abducted eight women, the wife of the chief, who were harvesting beniseed.

A resident, simply identified as Shuaibu, said, “The leader of the kidnappers called through one of the victims’ phone and asked the families to raise N2m each.

“However, the person who is negotiating with them is still begging them to reduce the ransom.”
