No fewer than 2,700 N-Power beneficiaries in Kano State have raised the sum of N10m to support the governorship aspiration, Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada, a member of the House of Representatives.

This is coming just as a civil society organisation in the state, Fitilar Jama’ar Kano (FJK), contributed another N10m to the lawmaker’s governorship bid.

Sharada, who is presently the member representing Kano Municipal constituency, is aspiring for the Kano governorship under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Presenting the cheque to the lawmaker on behalf of the N-Power beneficiaries in Kano, the group’s Coordinator, Abba Lawan, said each of them contributed the sum of N5,000 by saving N1,000 monthly for five months.

On his part, while receiving the donation on behalf of the lawmaker, one of the FJK Coordinators, Mansur Kurugu, said their CSO has also been motivated to contribute N10m to support the lawmaker.
