The National Assembly Service Commission has unveiled a code of ethics booklet for members of staff of the National Assembly.
The executive chairman of the commission, Ahmed Kadi Amshi, unveiled the code in Abuja on Friday at the 20th anniversary of the commission.

He said it was expected that members of staff would acquaint themselves with the provision of the code of ethics and abide by it.
Amshi sought the support, dedication, understanding and prayers of the staff so that the commission could achieve all its programmes.
He said the commission would abide by the oath of allegiance and the oath of office administered on its commissioners by President Muhammad Buhari.
He also assured that the commission would remain focused on carrying out its assignment with justice, fairness and equity.
“The vision and mission of this commission is to build an excellent workforce that will provide support and expertise to the legislators, with a view to meeting up the challenges of good legislation for democratic governance and sustainable development and to ensure the development of excellent manpower resource that is competent and knowledgeable for the National Assembly Service,” he noted.
Highlights of the event included a presentation of awards of excellence to some members of staff of the commission, among who was the director of public affairs, Mrs Janet Mambula.
