My dreams as a musician – Fricky J

Dubai-based sensational singer, Nniga Ernest Joe-Chim popularly known as “Fricky J” who made spectacular impressions with undying singles “Calabar Girls” and “Folake” amongst other thrilling songs of his, has disclosed that he admires the lifestyle of the American pop star and music maker, Sean Combs famously known as Puff Diddy and dreams to be like him some day.

“I used to be a big fan of American rapper and business mogul, Sean Combs, popularly referred to as P Diddy. I like him and wish to own a record label and help many other talented artistes on the streets who are not as privileged as I was during my early days in my music career. I equally love the fancy lifestyle of him and I pray to be self-sufficient like the legendary American rapper as a musician,” Fricky J said.

The ‘Calabar Girls’ crooner also disclosed the two prominent Nigerian artistes he dreams to have a music collaboration with. His pick of the lot in Nigeria are Wizkid and Patoranking.

According to him, “When it comes to dedication, talent and hard work, Wizkid and Patoranking are high up there. I wish to someday be on a record with them. It will be my biggest dream come through but it is surely not beyond my reach. I am closer than I was yesterday to realizing my dream.”

Fricky J. may not be a household name yet as fame is yet to nestle with him but surely fortune has found his home a resting place. Even his parents who objected to his taking to music as a career after a sterling education has embraced him with open hands as he is considered successful.

“With a degree in Political Science and M.Sc in Criminology, one won’t imagine that a person with such admirable qualifications would choose Music, but I decided to go against all odds to pursue a career in music and I’m currently enjoying my progress in the music Industry. Music was not the career my parents envisaged for me. However, my parents were awestruck as to the amount of fortune and fame their son has amassed over a short period of time in the music industry,” he disclosed.

Fricky J. has a Political Science degree from Tansian University, Umuny, Anambra State and Masters in Criminology from American University of Sharjah. He hails from Yakurr local government area of Cross River State and an Efik by tribe.

After releasing many songs in Nigeria from 2008 till date, he migrated to Dubai, United Arab Emirates where he continues to enjoy fame and fortune based on his music career success.

Some of his singles include Party 2nite, Moni Ke Jo, Go Down featuring Solidstar, Gratus, Grateful, Affection, Feeling Good, Peace and Unity, Alaye, Pass me and Folake.
