Fast-rising Nigerian musician, Collins Uche Peter widely known as ‘Kollinz’, has said that his biggest goal in life was to heal the world through music.
The young artiste made the disclosure recently while dedicating his new song titled ‘Never Let Go’, to Ukraine and its people for standing up to Russia’s aggression following an invasion of the Eastern European country on February 24, 2022 by Vladimir Putin’s forces.
According to ‘Kollinz’, who hails from the South-Eastern part of Nigeria and is the first of five kids in the family, the courage and resilience of Ukrainians in standing up to Russia was amazing and deserved a lot of support from other nations of the world to defeat the ‘enemy’.
Describing Ukraine and its people as an embodiment of resilience, the talented musician said, “I personally experienced all the pain and suffering that people in Ukraine are feeling now. And for the second time, I, like many Ukrainians, had to leave places dear to me.
“My heart is crying. I sincerely wanted to support Ukrainians and Ukraine, which has become my real second home. Therefore, I wanted to make a video that would draw the world’s attention to Ukraine. The clip is special and very personal to me.
“Therefore, in the text of the song, Ukrainian and English languages were interspersed, turning into key messages and appeals to save Ukraine.
“I love music so much and this has now become a major part of me and my income source. I have other businesses like in real estate but music is my main job and my calling in life is to heal the world with my music.
“No matter what happens I’ll continue to release good music to my fans. The song “Never let go” has gained over 7500 radio plays already in its first month and the video just dropped two days ago and it can be watched on my YouTube channel.”
The young musician, who plans to visit Nigeria soon to work with talented indigenous acts, further disclosed that he will be promoting his album and also establish a record label while in the country of his birth.
Before now, ‘Kollinz’ dropped “Hola Amigos” – a track that quickly attracted the attention of the public.
The young musician also released his first EP titled “Son of Man” in December 2020, becoming a huge success in Ukraine and other parts of the world.
