Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has attributed all his achievements in office in the past year to the support he derived from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Alia disclosed this on Friday night during his thank you tour in Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency held in Makurdi, the state capital.
The governor noted that every achievement he has recorded within the past year was the handwork of President Tinubu who had given him unimaginable support while urging the patience of the citizens.
Alia listed the construction of 16 roads, an underpass, payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities remodelling of the state assembly complex, and state secretariat as part of the achievements made possible because of the support he received from the president.

He further promised to renovate and upgrade the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Square in Makurdi to international standard as he stressed that the facilities at the over 30-year-old square constructed during the military era were outdated and needed urgent attention.
The governor however promised that henceforth, payment of salaries and pensions would begin from the 22nd of every month instead of the current 25th date.
