Tanko, while speaking with our reporter via telephone on Saturday, said he was making arrangements for the wedding when the bandits struck.
On whether they had called to demand ransom, he said the bandits contacted him on Thursday but over a different issue.
He said they called to demand the password of his two phones that they went away with.
“Actually, when I managed to escape through one of the exit doors, I couldn’t remember to carry my phones. The bandits went away the phones. They called on Thursday to demand the passwords of my phones,” he said.
The Sarkin Hausawa said since the passwords were given to them, the bandits haven’t called back.
“But I am still expecting for their call to know what they will say, even as I am appealing to the security agents to assist in rescuing my wife and four daughters in their captivity,” he said.
