Following the away goal scored by Esperance at the MKO Abiola stadium, Plateau United are walking a tight rope but Mustapha is confident of a good result in Tunis.
In a chat with Daily Trust, the former CHAN Super Eagles star striker said Plateau United will approach the return leg with the required confidence, determination and optimism.
The former El-kanemi Warriors and Enyimba FC forward who returned from Al Hilal FC of Sudan to join Plateau United’s quest for a continental title is sure of scoring at least a goal in Tunis.
“It is going to be a difficult match in Tunis but we are equal to the task. We did our best in the first leg but we couldn’t score more goals because luck didn’t smile on us.
“The return leg offers us the opportunity to make amends and put smiles on the faces of our teeming fans. Our target is to reach the group stage for the first time.
“To achieve this, we must score goals in Tunisia so I want to keep scoring. By the grace of God, I will score at least a goal in the return leg. We all have resolved to play as a team and I am sure we would triumph in the end,” he said.
