Speaking at the flag-off in Kaduna, the representative of the league from Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Ahmad Gilal, said the gesture was to give the orphans a better life as taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Chairman of the occasion and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Yunus Ustaz Usman, lamented the lack of assistance to the less privileged in Nigerian societies, which he said was responsible for the country’s insecurity.

Similarly, an Islamic cleric, Dr Ahmad Gumi, urged the wealthy in the country to emulate the league by providing support to orphans, saying doing so would earn them reward from Allah.

Al’amin Ahmad Hamza, Secretary to the league in Kaduna, urged the parents and guardians to make judicious use of the funds, stressing that the funds were for the education and health of the orphans.
