Hundreds of Muslims and Christians yesterday attended the 8th anniversary service of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministry in Kaduna.
A peace ambassador in Nigeria, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani, who also attended the anniversary in company of her friends and family members, donated gifts to church workers, including the best chorister in the band, children choir, pastor and intercessory women of the ministry.
Muslim youths and scholars as well as Christians from different churches usually attend the annual anniversary of the church as a way of promoting peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance.
The peace ambassador Hajiya Ramatu had in February this year donated 50 bibles to the church with the same aim of strengthening religious tolerance and mutual understanding.
The overseer of the church, Pastor Yohana Buru appreciated the gesture of the peace ambassador, describing Muslims as friends of Christians as they both worship one God.
