The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) expresses immense shock over the death of the General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Musa Asake.
The Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, in a condolence message commiserate with CAN President, Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, members of his executive, as well all Nigerian Christians.
Dr. Musa Asake, 66, died Friday after a brief illness.
Akintola said, “In particular, our hearts go to his widow, Mrs. Asake, the biological and spiritual children he left behind, his brothers and sisters. We pray that Almighty Allah will give them all the strength to bear this great loss.” He also charged religious leaders to learn from the lessons which the late Rev. Asake left behind, including forging love between Christians, Muslims and traditionalists.
