Africa’s leading telecommunication company, MTN Nigeria, on Thursday launched its “Turn it up” media campaign aimed at inspiring Nigerians from all walks of life to discover the potentials that lie within them to attain greater feats.
Inspired by the company’s continued commitment to facilitating transformation, progress and success in the new decade, the campaign also seeks to encourage Nigerians to look within to live their brightest lives by taking advantage of the varying opportunities that abound around.
“MTN is inviting you to turn up whatever lies within you. We’re inviting you; we’re speaking to you: ‘What’s it within you that you can do to turn things up.’ Within you is a lot of potentials that if you turned it up, you will become greater and be more fulfilling,” says Esther Akinnukawe, Chief Human Resources Officer, MTN Nigeria.
The event, held at the MTN Penthouse in Ikoyi, Lagos and anchored by Nigerian comedian, MC Abbey, also had Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, On-Air Personality and Content creator, Chinedu ‘Nedu’ Emmanuel, and a host of others in attendance.
Also speaking at the event, the Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria, Rahul De, said: “We want Nigerians to excel and attain their dreams and aspirations. This campaign is about changing and improving the quality of lives, encouraging Nigerians to rethink and embrace a new approach that reflects the changing dynamics of the world around us.This is what drives us to continue investing and exploring opportunities for Nigerians.”
He added: “For us at MTN, our promise is to be that brand that will stand with every Nigerian in their quest to turn things up and live their best. This philosophy will guide everything we do as a brand this New Year.”
According to the General Manager, Brands, and Communication, MTN Nigeria, Richard Iweanoge: “Every Nigerian deserves a positive turnaround in their lives and we believe opportunities abound in and around the individual; but the opportunities are only potent when we choose to bring them to life.
“We are simply saying, ‘Don’t look too far; the opportunities you seek are closer than you think’.The combination of these is what we speak to when we turn it up.
“We want every Nigerian to remember that in whatever they have chosen to pursue, we are that brand that will provide the support for them to attain those dreams and aspirations.”
As Dakore succinctly put it, while addressing the audience at the media unveil, “Look within and identify those talents within you; then project it to the world. MTN is giving us access to the world. Who are you and what do you have within you? Turn it up!”
According to the telecom giant, the ‘Turn it Up’ campaign will be on TV commercial, radio, press, and outdoor advertisements nationwide, to remind Nigerians to reach for their dreams and achieve personal and career success.
