MTN Foundation invests N25bn on CSR, to remodel 40 PHCs with N1bn

 

The MTN Foundation has stated that the fifth phase of its “What Can We Do Together (WCWDT)” project will remodel 40 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in the country with N1 billion following the investment of about N25 billion on different projects across the country.

The Executive Secretary of MTN Foundation, Odunayo Sanya, who disclosed this at a press conference in Lagos, said that with that phase of the MTN WCWDT project, the foundation planned to upgrade and supply medical equipment and consumables to 40 PHCs, install solar-powered boreholes and solar-powered hybrid solutions in them.

The Director, MTN Foundation, Mr Dennis Okoro, said, “Development is not just about constructing roads, skyscrapers or building flyover bridges. It is also about impacting the lives of market women who sit on the streets selling banana and groundnut. What we are doing here is building a human centered project.”
