The Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) Foundation has donated medical equipment worth millions of naira to the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Gombe as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The equipment donated include two sets of dental chairs, ENT console treatment unit and a set of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy among others.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the MTN Foundation, Prince Julius Adeluyi, said the donation was aimed at touching lives positively, not only in the area of telecommunication services, but also through provision of other social services.
Represented by the Executive Secretary, MTN Foundation, Mrs Odunayo Sanya, the chairman said the provision of hospital equipment at the FTH Gombe is a testament of the power of partnership, thanking the federal and state governments for allowing MTN to contribute for public benefit.
In a remark, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya commended the gesture of the MTN Foundation, for complementing government’s efforts by the provision of medical equipment as its CSR.
