The MTN Group telecommunication company, on Sunday, said that the video sent by its CEO, Karl Olutokun Toriola, to its customers is genuine.
The company said that the video was sent as an apology for the network outage on October 9.

Customers who made calls or used data on their phones between 12pm and 7 pm on October 16 were refunded.

According to the company, customers who received notification of a 1MB refund should disregard it.
Customers can now dial *556# on their phones and read the follow-on SMS to view the correct compensation balance.
