Motorcyclist killed while crossing highway

Barely a day after a man was killed from a car accident at the Deidei junction, in Abuja, another one lost his life after a vehicle hit him not far from the area on Wednesday.

A witness, Yahuza Jibril, said the deceased, a commercial motorcyclist identified as Nasiru, was riding against traffic direction when he was hit by the motorist as he attempted to make a turn.

Contacted, the Zuba unit commander, Federal Road Safety Commission, Elizabeth Benedict, confirmed the incident, adding that the remains of the deceased have since been released to his relatives for burial.
