A Kano State Sharia court sitting in Kofar Kudu has remanded a man (name withheld) for allegedly threatening to kill his mother.
The man was dragged before the court by the mother, who said he threatened to kill her after an argument between them.
The woman urged the court to ask her son to relocate from her house for her security.
When the charges were read against the son, he pleaded not guilty.

He told the court that because he was no longer together with his wife and that he didn’t have money, were the reasons why his mother was treating him that way.
The Khadi, Malam Isah Rabiu Kademi Gaya, ordered that he should be remanded and adjourned the case to October 25.
