An accident on Monday afternoon has claimed the lives of a woman and her daughter in Uli, Ihiala Local government Area of Anambra State.
The accident, which occurred along the Owerri-Onitsha expressway in the state, involved a Nissan Caravan commercial bus with registration number ACA 989 ZW and with 12 persons onboard.

Daily Trust gathered that the woman’s son, who was in the same vehicle survived.

Meanwhile, nine others in the vehicle sustained varying degrees of injuries when the bus driver reportedly lost control after a tyre burst.
The Anambra State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Adeoye Irelewuyi, confirmed the incident, saying the corpses of the deceased had been deposited in the morgue.
