More countries to participate in 43rd Kaduna trade fair

Businessmen from Tunisia, Morocco and Pakistan will for the first time participate in the annual Kaduna International Trade Fair, the Chairman of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture, Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu has said.

Speaking when he led members of the executive on a visit to the Media Trust office, Alhaji Suleiman said this was in addition to some other neighbouring West African countries who also indicated their intention to participate.

He said from the responses they received, this year’s fair would witness a large number of participants from within and outside the country.

The fair which would run from February 25 to March 6 would also feature a seminar with the theme, Restrategising Nigeria’s Economy for Global Competitiveness, a business roundtable on Blue Economy and a quiz competition for secondary schools students from 19 northern states.

He solicited the cooperation of Media Trust, publisher of Daily Trust titles to ensure effective publicity during the fair adding that the chamber has always cherished the partnership existing between the two organisations.

He said the chamber has made all the necessary arrangements to ensure that both participants and visitors to the fair observe the COVID-19 protocol

Responding, the Editor-in-Chief of Daily Trust newspaper, Naziru Mikailu, said the company was ready to partner with KADCCIMA to make the trade fair successful.

He said the trade fair was needed, especially at this time of economic challenges facing Nigeria.
