The Kano State Ministry of Environment has fined Rijiyar Zaki Motor Park, situated along BUK road, the sum of N100,000 for defaulting on the monthly sanitation exercise order.

He said it was worrisome that the motor park could not spare three hours in a month to sanitize its environment, adding that the exercise order is aimed at safeguarding the health of the people in the state.

According to him, apart from N100,000 fine on the park, all vehicles found loading passengers were also fined the sum of N10,000 each.

“We need a healthy environment and we can only achieve that through this kind of exercise. So we want the general public to clean their immediate environments every last Saturday of the month,” he said.
