Monarch turbans Tinubu’s liaison officer as MaradinAbaji

The Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, HRM AlhajiAdamu Baba Yunusa, hasturbanned the Protocol Liaison Officer (PLO) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ambassador Musa Yakubu, as the MaradinAbaji kingdom.

AlhajiYunusa, speaking during the coronation ceremony at his palace on Monday, said the palace decided to confer the traditional title on him because of his immense contributions not only to the palace, but the entire Abaji kingdom.

He said the protocol liaison officer had contributed towards to the education sector by securing admission and offering scholarships to indigent students in the area and the FCT.

The monarch, while congratulating him for the traditional title, urged him to see the title as another responsibility on him to continue to do more, especially in the area of fostering peace, unity and development of the people of the FCT.

Responding, the PLO, Ambassador Musa Yakubu, said he was elated with the traditional title conferred on him by the revered monarch as the MaradinAbaji kingdom.

He said the conferment of the traditional title was an indication that the monarch has identified with his contributions towards the development of Abaji, even as he said Abaji has always been his home where he started his educational career.

He, therefore, assured the monarch that he would continue to do everything within his power that will enhance peace, unity and development of Abaji kingdom and FCT at large.

“And it is on this note that I want to assure his royal majesty as a protocol liaison officer to Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that I will do everything within my power to bring more development to not only Abaji kingdom but the entire FCT,” he said.
