Sunrise Power and Transmission Ltd has quoted a traditional tittle holder and son of the soil of Mambilla as declaring that the entire kingdom and its kindred are behind the company.
It was reportedly emphasized that the ruling council and people have known Mr. Leno Adesanya, promoter of Sunrise, for over 2 decades.
It is also confirmed that Adesanya was recently conferred with traditional tittle Tauraru mambilla (star of mambilla) for his “consistency and commitment towards the realization of the project”.
Recently, the king of the Sardauna ruling council wrote to President Bola Tinubu to seek amicable resolution to the Mambilla hydro dam project.

“Unlike the Niger Delta where youth restfulness and resistance to non-indigenes abounds, the Mambilla is a little different. Not every one is accepted but when accepted they stand with you till the end.”
“He further declared that neither him, other traditional rulers are faced by the declaration by EFCC and the people of Mambilla are solidly behind Sunrise Power Transmission as the local content contractor,” read a letter to Sunrise by Saradauna Traditional Council on behalf of Mambilla.
