Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has praised the traditional institutions in the state for their crucial role in maintaining peace.
Speaking during a Sallah homage at the Government House, the governor specifically commended the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Adamu, and other traditional leaders for their efforts in fostering harmony across the state.
During the meeting, Governor Mohammed assured that his administration would continue collaborating with the federal government to enhance the standards of traditional institutions in Bauchi State.
He emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating the contributions of these institutions to peace and stability.
The governor also expressed satisfaction with the colourful Durbar procession held in 2024, urging the traditional institutions to uphold this age-old tradition.
In response, the Emir of Bauchi expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support and for upgrading the palaces of Emirs and District Heads in the state. He highlighted the positive impact of these upgrades on their operations and overall effectiveness.
