A mobile court in Bauchi has fined two Imams the sum of N20, 000 each for leading Friday prayers in their various mosques.

The two Imams, Malam Musa Hassan and Malam Dahiru Alhaji both of Dunkui Ambi village in Misau local government area were arraigned before the mobile court after they contravened the state government’s order on the suspension of religious gathering in the state by leading Friday prayers in their mosques.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Muktar Abubakar, warned that it will not take it lightly with anyone found going against the law of the state on the ongoing partial lockdown of the state.

Magistrate Abubakar called on the people of the state to obey the constituted authorities.
