Mob sets man ablaze in Jos

A mob Saturday evening set ablaze a suspected motorcycle thief at Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State.

The suspect, according to sources, had allegedly stolen many motorcycles in the area.

A source told our correspondent that when the suspect was accosted by some persons with a motorcycle he could not explain where he got it from and so they beat him to death and set his corpse on fire.

The spokesman of the police in the state, DSP Alabo Alfred, who noted that some residents attested that the victim was a notorious thief in the area, said the police were investigating the matter.
