Two suspected bandits were reportedly set ablaze by some mob members at Kurutu village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
City & crime had reported that soldiers killed two among some bandits after raiding their hideout at Kurutu Forest on Monday, in which four captives were rescued by the troops.
A community leader from the area said the two bandits’ corpses were among some of the bandits that fled with bullets inquiries after troops raided their camp at Kurutu village on Saturday.
He said the two bandits were discovered by a hunter at neigbouring Kurmin-Kare village, who rushed to inform the villagers.

“And from the information I got, the bandits’ corpses were among the some of the bandits that escaped with bullets wounds after the soldiers engaged them at their hideout on Monday, and rescued some captives,” he said.
He said it was on the process some mob members who got the wind of discovery of the corpses mobilised with fuel to forest and set the corpses on fire.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command ASP Hassan Mansur is yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing the report.
