Angry mob on Friday lynched two suspected motorcycle snatchers at Lagere area in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Residents told Daily Trust that two young men snatched a motorcycle from the owner and that the victim raised alarmed which attracted the bike riders in the area.

An eyewitness who identified himself simply as Israel Elusanmi said “within a twinkle of an eye, commercial motorcycle operators gathered here in large number and insisted that the two men must not leave this place alive.”
“Before we know it, they set them ablaze. No one could rescue them. The two young men had been roasted before policemen came to the scene”, Elusanmi said.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation with Daily Trust.
