The plan was fine-tuned when the duo met in Minna at the Hilltop residence of the former military president to work out plans on the official flag off of Babangida’s 2011 presidential bid campaign in the South-West.
Sunday Trust reliably gathered from a source close to the retired general that the meeting lasted for two hours in the personal office of the former military president.
Our correspondent who could not get a word on the close door meeting from Abiola who was accompanied by his nephew Muftau gathered that the meeting was fruitful.
“This is not the first time members of the late Chief M. K. O. Abiola will be visiting the Babangidas. Several times we have played host to some of his wives and that the brothers are here now is just to further cement the relationship,” our source explained.
