National president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, said at the weekend after a meeting in Kafanchan that the conference may not achieve the desired results if some groups are sidelined.
“Miyetti Allah is ready to table its problems at the conference, but for us not to have been named in the recent list of delegates issued by the Federal Government shows that there is a problem,” Badejo said.
He added: “We are surprised that the government does not recognise the Fulani socio-cultural organisation. When the list of delegates was released last Friday, we
expected to see the names of our representatives”.
The chairman called on President Goodluck Jonathan to use his good
office and include the names of members of the group before the commencement of the conference.
“Fulanis contribute a lot to the growth of the country, but the government is not taking us seriously,” he said.
