Ministry petitions IGP over 31 missing cows in police custody

The Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Kaduna has petitioned the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu over the 31 missing cows in police custody. 
The Ministry also sent a copy of the same petition to Police Service Commission on Wednesday seeking the intervention of both the commission and the Inspector General of Police over the matter.
Daily Trust got a copy of the petition which was dated 16/4/2019 and was copied to the state Police Commissioner Ahmad Abdurrahman.
The petition signed by the Commissioner in the Ministry Hajiya Hafsat Baba called on the IGP to institute an investigation on the missing cows.
‎The petition added that the action by the police is equivalent to removing the owners means of livelihood and subjecting them to the cruel hands of poverty.
