Three ministers have resigned since the inception of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in 2015. They are

Mrs Kemi Adeosun: She was appointed as the minister of Finance by President Muhammadu Buhari in November 2015.

However earlier in the year, the former minister was said to have illegally obtained her NYSC exemption certificate to get into public office.

But on 14 September, 2018, Adeosun tendered her resignation as Minister to the president following the NYSC certificate scandal that ensued.

Before her appointment as minister, Mrs Adeosun served as the commissioner of Finance in Ogun state.

Mr Kayode Fayemi: Governor-elect of Ekiti state Mr. Kayode Fayemi resigned as the minister of Solid minerals development  on May 30, 2018 to pursue his political ambition.

Prior to his appointment as minister, Fayemi was a governor of Ekiti state between 2010 -2014.

Hajiya Amina Mohammed: Following her appointment at the United Nations as UN Deputy Secretary General, Hajiya Amina Mohammed resigned from Nigerian Federal Executive Council as the minister of Environment on 24 February 2017.

She served as a minister from 11 November 2015 to 15 December 2016
