Small scale farmers in Kaduna State have been warned not to sell the various agriculture inputs given under the special intervention of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Mahmood Abubakar, gave the warning Saturday during the flag-off and distribution programme of the special support to the smallholder farmers in Kaduna.

He said having carefully assessed the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry designed a support programme targeting small-holder farmers to enhance the farming family income, create jobs, and generate wealth.
Daily Trust on Sunday reports that the items given to farmers include a knapsack sprayer, maize thresher, sesame cleaning machine, mechanical cashew picker, ginger slicing machine, hammer mill with cyclone, acha processing machine, super Boron fertilizer, glyphosate herbicide, granzyme, and growtech (growth enhancer).
Others are a pineapple peeler, rhizome washing machine, mini-milling machine, solar water pump, spaghetti machine, corn harvester, bag closer, zero fly bags, resilate, watering can, cypermethrin, water pump as well bags of rice, maize, cowpea, yam and sorghum seeds.
State Coordinator, National Association of Small-Scale Women Farmers, Kaduna State, Mrs Hannatu Sani, thanked the minister for the continuous support to women farmers.
