Minister hails FG on incentives for military

The Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy-Agba, has said promotion, welfare and motivation of personnel are strengthening instruments that will boost performance in the military and in all spheres of the country.

Speaking in Abuja when he received Major General Sanusi Dahiru, Deputy Commandant of the Martin Luther Agwai Peace Centre in Jaji, Kaduna state, the minister said the present administration was interested in tackling the challenges of insecurity.

In a statement by the minister’s spokesman, Mr. Ofem Uket, he further said the administration was providing an enabling environment for economic activities to thrive and as well ensure the safety of lives and property of citizens.

Jedy-Agba urged the newly promoted Dahiru to see it as a call to commitment, duty and efficiency to defend the sovereignty of Nigeria.

Responding, Maj. Gen. Dahiru assured that the military would continue to uphold its constitutional role and ensure the fight against insecurity was sustained and to further strengthen the economy of the nation.
