Minimum wage: State university non-academic staff issues 7-day ultimatum

The Joint Action Committee comprising of the Non-academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) on Saturday issued a 7-day ultimatum to the Plateau State government to fulfil its demands or it will declare an indefinite strike.

Timnan Rimdap, Chairman of the Action Committee, announced the ultimatum after a meeting by the congress held in Jos.

According to the chairman, the action was taken following the refusal of the state government to implement the new National Minimum Wage, non-payment of arrears, allowances, and understaffing.
