Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona take a comfortable 3-0 lead from the UEFA Champions League semi-final’s first leg at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
Luis Suarez had given the home side the lead on the 26th minute when he ran onto Jordi Alba’s pass to steer past Alisson Becker.
Liverpool came out smoking in the second half but it was Barcelona who would go ahead to double their lead in the 75th minute. Messi tapped home from close range after Suarez hits the bar.
And just seven minutes after, Barcelona won a free-kick outside the area. Messi stepped up to curl the ball into the top corner.
The goal was his 600th for Barcelona.
