A medical practitioner, Dr. Yahya Bawa Ubam, has indicated his interest to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Karu, Keffi and Kokona Federal constituency.
He is pledging to provide purposeful and result-oriented representation that would yield dividends of democracy for the people.

Making his intention known while speaking with newsmen, Ubam who is contesting under the auspices of the APC, stated that he decided to join the race based on clarion calls from the people of the constituency and his capacity to give them a good representation in the green chambers.
“The decision to make myself available for the contest of the House of Representatives is based on my desire to provide a purposeful and result-oriented representation having been called upon to do so by the people of my constituency,” he said.
On his areas of focus if elected, Dr. Ubam, who is a consultant gynaecologist, pledged to give emphasis to the development of the health care sector.
