Delivering the items at Area 1, Garki, Abuja, Mr. Rashid Yusuf, Head, Market Planning and Distribution, Media Trust Limited, told the members of the Association of Newspaper Distributors that due to the challenges arising from the removal of oil subsidy by the federal government, the Media Trust deemed it necessary to render them such assistance.
Rashid prayed that the effect of subsidy removal should not have a long time effect on Nigerians in their daily activities.
Responding, Chairman of Abuja Newspapers Distributors’ Association, Mr. Otu Otu Eno thanked the media houses for the gesture, while also pledging the commitment of the association to boost newspaper sales in the FCT.
Otu thanked the vendors, sales-representatives and the distributors for their hard work.
On his part, Chairman of the Vendors Association, Mr. Evans Oriri said the vendors should not take advantage of oil subsidy removal to indulge in nonchalant attitude in their work.
