Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has suspended the extant curfew prohibiting movement between the hours of 11.00pm to 6.00am in the state.

The suspension takes effect from Thursday, October 22, 2020 to Sunday, November 22, 2020.

A statement signed by the government house’s Director-General, Media, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi, said the gesture was effected so as to all allow for unfettered Eid Maulud festivities.

Recall that Gov. Masari had signed an Executive Order prohibiting the use of motorcycles and tricycles between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. across the state effective January 20, 2020.

The order was reviewed last month for the restriction to cover the hours between 11pm to 6am.
