As Muslims around the world commence Maulud celebration, which is the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, a Christian Cleric has urged faithfuls to use period to promote inter-religious tolerance.
The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministries, Sabon Tasha, Pastor Yohanna Buru made the called in a chat with journalists in Kaduna.
According to him, celebrating the Prophet’s birth goes beyond Muslims alone because the prophet was for everyone.
The Christian scholar also called on all Muslims to use the Maulud period to pray for God intervention in this country.
“Muslim should know that, Maulud celebration is not for Muslims alone, simply because the holy prophet is for everyone , as he preached peace, love, tolerance and unity throughout his life for humanity and for mankind,” he said.
Buru said ”We must remember that we are from one family Adam and Eve. We are brothers and sisters that belief in our Holy scriptures Bible and Qur’an and also belief in life after death, then we must be our brother keeper.”
