The foundation in 2021 through its Programme Officer, Imam Nma Shuaib, donated food items to the orphanage to assist them during Ramadan.

But the President, JMA, while presenting the award to the foundation in Kaduna, commended the immense contribution of the foundation to the wellbeing and upkeep of the orphans.

“We are truly grateful for your continuous support to the orphans who have been abandoned by their actual families. We pray that Allah will continue to shower His blessings on you to continue the good work you are doing.”

“Like Oliver Twist, I would like to appeal for more support in the area of education, especially for the orphans so that their future is guaranteed. As you know, we are an ethnic, non-religious and non-political organisation so we are not funded by anyone; we don’t have a source of funding, we fund our activities through monthly dues by our members and goodwill for Nigerians.”

She then called on philanthropists and well-meaning Nigerians to support orphans and help them reach their full potential.

Responding on behalf of the foundation, a staff member of MTL, Maryam Ahmadu-Suka, thanked the organisation for the recognition.
