Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina has unveiled the state’s new official logo.
This followed the adoption of the logo by the state assembly.
The logo, which was designed and carved by members of the Katsina National Talent Hunt, was presented to the governor by the Chairman of the group, Faisal Jafar Rafindadi, in company of other members of the group.
Unveiling the new governor’s logo in his office, Masari congratulated the members for their “contribution to the history of the state”.
He advised them to utilise their God-given talent in order to become self-reliant and providers of employment in the competitive world.
Recall that on August 10, the Katsina State House of Assembly during the plenary presided by the Speaker, Tasiu Maigari, approved the replacement of the State’s Logo.
In a letter, Masari had informed the house that the new logo was presented to the State Executive Council on Thursday, June 24.
He said it depicts the historical antecedent of the people of Katsina and symbolizes the heritage, unity and authority of the state.
The new logo contains the historical Kusugu well in Daura, Gobarau minaret, a hoe and a Calabash, with “Home of Heritage and Hospitality” as the new motto.
