Many persons were said to have been injured when fighting broke out between two factional members of hoodlums at Owode area of Ikorodu, in Lagos State on Tuesday.
Members of the warring factions also used the opportunity to loot and vandalized people’s property.

No one could say what actually led to the fracas.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident, said the fracas was between two factions of gangsters at Adekunle, near Owode Onirin, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Adejobi, who said the fight broke out at about 8am for reasons known to the hoodlums, added that the command had restored normalcy to the area.
“The Commissioner of police Lagos state, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered the area commander Area H, Ogudu, who commands the area and other operational outfits, especially the RRS and Taskforce, to beam his search light on the area for necessary anti crime strategies.
“The command will put in place mechanisms to sanitise and maintain law and order in the area,” he said.
