Manchester United have reportedly given up the chase for Danny Rose with news that he looks set to stay at Tottenham in spite of his words against the club last week.

The man with his hands on the purse strings at White Hart Lane/Wembley, Daniel Levy, doesn’t want to sell him even with the cash of United on offer.

But according to the Express, United have given up on the chase and are looking elsewhere after initial responses from Spurs.

Levy has already let one of his star full-backs leave in the transfer window, Kyle Walker to Manchester City.

Chelsea are still interested, though, and could make a £50m approach.
