Manchester United have failed in their pursuit of Real Madrid star Isco, according to reports in Spain.
It is believed that the Spain international, who suffered heartbreak at the weekend as his country were knocked out of the World Cup by Russia, does not want to play under United manager Jose Mourinho.
According to Don Balon, who are renowned for their outlandish transfer rumours, the Premier League club have contacted the European champions to ask about the midfielder’s availability.
The Spanish outlet claims United submitted an ambitious £159m offer in a bid to lure the playmaker to Old Trafford.
However with Real said to be considering the offer, Isco himself intervened and rejected any move through talks between United and his agent.
